1. The order of painters in lists
In the painters list and on each area page, the order is:
- Featured: painters chosen by the pintores.pt team, labelled "Featured". This position is not sold.
- Verified painters before those not yet verified.
- A score from 0 to 100, updated daily: speed in taking requests (up to 40 points), share of taken requests that got a quote (up to 40) and average rating (up to 20). New painters start at 50 so they are not left at the bottom.
- Date joined, to break ties.
The Pro plan does not change this order or give badges.
2. Paint shops
Shops are listed by area and, within each area, in alphabetical order. Listing is free and no shop pays to be placed higher.
3. Within a request
The client sees the quotes side by side in the same format, to compare price, dates and what is included. A painter can pay for their quote to appear first; that quote is always labelled "Boosted".
4. Badges
- Verified: we checked the tax number, identity and past work.
- Insured: our team saw the liability insurance policy.
- Responds fast: takes requests, on average, in 4 hours or less.
- Always quotes: sends a quote for 90% or more of the requests taken.
Badges are worked out from recent requests and change if behaviour changes.
5. Reviews
- Only a client who accepted the painter's quote through the site can review them, and that client's contact was confirmed by code.
- Reviews from clients the painter recorded themselves are checked by our team before they are published.
- The painter can reply publicly to each review.
- We do not remove reviews for being negative. We remove those with personal data, insults, advertising or that do not match real work.
- Each painter's rating is the average of all published reviews.
